21 Day Devotion Day 10: Call On God

This is day 10 of our 21 Days of Prayer, Fasting, and Personal Devotion. The first day was on Sunday, March 26th and we will celebrate on the last day, Easter Sunday,

Psalms 50:15  Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me.”

In order to receive a great miracle you usually have to be in a terrible predicament where only a miracle will do. Most people only find themselves in this spot when they make terrible mistakes. There are countless testimonies of God’s miraculous works in prisons, hospitals, and in hostile situations.

When we don’t follow God, our lives can lead to endless strife and solutionless conflict. In these circumstances of our making, the Spirit beckons us to call upon Jesus and welcome him into the situation. As Jesus establishes his righteousness every other force bows to his name.

But what happens when we follow Jesus and still find ourselves in impossible situations? It is in these times that the enemy screams into our ears the loudest that we missed it. He tells us how we should have never counted on God, that our faith has amounted to nothing, and that God has left us in this situation to die.

Fight that voice.

The truth is that when we surrender our lives to Jesus, he will surely lead us into situations that only he can get us out of. He is not nervous that he can’t do it. He is not worried that you will fail.

He promises that he will rescue you and you will honor him. And that is the point. God is creating in you a miraculous life so that you can freely bring his miracle-working power to people with no ability to cry out to God on their own.

Surrender to the plan of God in your life. You may not get to do what you want to do, ;but you will get to do what you can’t do.

What do you think?
