This is day 11 of our 21 Days of Prayer, Fasting, and Personal Devotion. The first day was on Sunday, March 26th and we will celebrate on the last day, Easter Sunday, April 16th.
1 Corinthians 14:15 What is the outcome then? I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the mind also; I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the mind also.
We are spiritual beings in physical bodies. During this life we are both and God loves every part of us.
To some people, real Christianity is what happens in the spirit realm. There is a great emphasis on being seated with Christ in the heavenly places, the activities of angels and interceding by praying in the spirit.
To others, if you can’t see it, it doesn’t count. They would say that your management of the sins of the flesh, time spent evangelizing, and your acts of service are the real determination of your heart condition.
Neither of these are true and yet both are true.
The saying goes that rising tides lift all boats. Likewise as we grow in Christ, both our spiritual and natural lives flourish and glorify God.
To that end, we are not to let our relationship with God be something that happens in our mind, or just on Sunday morning. Instead we are to take those interactions with Christ and bring them into the rest of our lives.
The spiritual truths that saturate our minds should saturate our tongue and the atmosphere of our lives. We should seek them in the secret place and live them out as a testimony to God.
Today, pray in the Spirit and ask God to lead you in bridging your spiritual and natural lives.
