New Song, New Reality
I love today's devotion, and I loved the prayer at the end even more. Walter bruggeman writes about the new season and worship as protest against the current season. This takes worship from a place of simple praise into the realm of prophecy. It takes hope to prophesy a better future. That's why on the day of Pentecost Peter declare that old men will dream dreams. Generally when you are old you are past the time of dreaming for a better future.
But in the prayer, we ask God to give us songs of hope. That means we have hearts that are again open to disappointment and failure because of the hope that lies before us. That's powerful and I'm going to hold on to it today in service.

Power for Life Flown in by Bird
Wow, this is crazy timely. I have been having so much broken off and the biggest thing most recently has been the thought or thinking that I must provide. It has been where I have been and who I thought I was for a very looong time.
Here I stand today knowing that God IS provider, and He is growing me in ways I could never have imagine. He is growing me with energy, courage, freedom and authority knowing that I am His healing agent in this world.
Thank you for the honor LORD.
